News: Xiao Zhu’s ‘Dancing Diva’ Not Feminine Enough

The launch of “Xiao Zhu” Show Luo’s latest world tour has been very well-received with many ticket offices informing him about the good results. He has put all his effort into practising his singing and dancing, even taking up the challenge of Jolin Tsai’s ribbon dance but Xiao Zhu is most worried about his arms and legs being too slow which would cause everyone to see through his 1 second costume-change magic trick.


On April 30, Xiao Zhu will start his “Wu Fa Wu Tian” world tour in Hong Kong. After announcing additional shows, all three have been sold out. He has added an extra show on May 15 at the Taipei Arena and only a few hundred tickets remain from the total of three shows. The Singapore show at the end of May was already sold out long ago. It is estimated that 80,000 people will go to see Xiao Zhu perform at these 7 shows so he is hurriedly exhibiting all his true talents.

News: Jiro Wang Stranded in Holland

Jiro Wang who went to Amsterdam, Holland to do some photoshoots for his art photobook, was supposed to be back in Taiwan April 19 but due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, he has been forced to stay in Holland. Luckily Jiro is a very optimistic guy because he won’t be able to take a flight home until Friday at the earliest. Due to too many tourists left stranded in Europe as a result of the eruption, food and accomodation costs have trebled, with a crew of over 10 people in Holland, it’s expected that they will have to spend an extra $NT1.5 million.

Besides this, the meteorological office of South Korea has predicted that the volcanic ash will reach the Korean Peninsula and China’s north/east on April 20. In regards to the weather in Taiwan, the weather bureau has expressed that the chance of the volcanic ash affecting Taiwan shouldn’t be very big.

News: Show Luo’s Autographing Cut Short

Show “Xiao Zhu [Little Pig]” Luo’s seventh solo album “Lover’s Puzzle (Roshomon)” once again stands at the top of both G-music and 5-music charts, winning by a high percentile, 10 consecutive weeks at the #1 spot, just dominating! Show is in China from 3/29 to 4/1, holding large “Lover’s Puzzle” autograph functions in Chengdu, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangdong.

In previous interviews, Show expressed that there never seemed to be enough time spent in China, so he hoped that he’d be able to fill his “Wives/Fans” wishes of seeing him again soon. Today, Show held his “Lover’s Puzzle” autograph session in Shenzhen, but it somehow caused a commotion, and was suddenly called off.

At 5:30 PM today, Show Lo was at Shenzhen Futian District center plaza holding his autograph session. News: Wonder Girls Dominate Charts

After becoming the first Korean artist/group to make it onto the Billboard Charts with their hit “Nobody”, the Wondergirls are showing no signs of slowing down by dominating the music charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

After releasing their “Taiwan Special” album in Taiwan last February 10th, they quickly shot to number one on several of the major online and offline music charts such as G-Music, E-Momo Music Channel, Chinese Telecom emomo Charts, etc. It was announced that they even took the top spot on the major KK Box chart this week!

The Wondergirls have sold 25,000 copies of their album in less than two months time. To put that into perspective, the record number of albums being sold by a foreign Asian artist in Taiwan or Hong Kong during a short amount of time stands at 30,000 albums. Read the rest of this entry »





News: Rainie’s Waiting for Love

From “girl group” to “cute princess”, then stepping into “half mature lady”, before finally becoming a “woman waiting for love”, it has already been 10 years since Rainie Yang entered showbiz. This year is her 5th as a solo artist, and with the opportunity to have a concert in Taiwan, her career is progressing quite smoothly. However, her love life has been quite empty. Seeing her good friend Isabella Leong with a blissful married life, Rainie wishes her happiness, but at the same time isn’t jealous. “My happiness comes from performing onstage, and being loved by my fans.”

Many top-notch Asian artists will gather in “MTV LIVE 05.30.10” on May 30,2010 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo.

“MTV LIVE” is the most popular live event that has been held by MTV JAPAN since 2008.

The event theme this year is “Through Live. Connecting Asia” and features four acts from Japan along side with the leading Asian acts in the music scene.

News: Jerry Yan…Mystery Man at S.H.E. Fan Signing

S.H.E held a signing event at Ximending for their latest album “SHERO.” A mysterious man appeared with a hundred copies of their album for signing. It turned out that it was no other but Ella’s co-star from “Down With Love”…the handsome Jerry Yan! The moment he revealed himself, Ella’s manliness disappeared and she immediately turned into a shy girl leaning against Jerry’s chest and called him, “Honey.” Hebe and Selina also took the opportunity to snatch a hug from Jerry.

Ella and Jerry became good friends during the filming of “Down With Love.” Thus, Jerry promised to buy a hundred copies of S.H.E’s album, and he fulfilled it. Ella didn’t know that Jerry would appear as she was telling the media, “I did invite him, but he’s too busy.” Soon after, Jerry suddenly appeared, and Ella jumped up from her seat in shock.

News: Coco Lee Announces On-Stage Wedding

Female singer Coco Lee announced at her concert afterparty yesterday that she wishes to hold her wedding onstage at the last show of her tour! After 12 years, Coco will once again step on the stage of Taiwan’s Taipei Arena to start off her show. Expenses around 45 million HKD were used to create a 3D pyramid of LED lights on stage, and another 10 million HKD used to design 13 beautiful and sexy outfits, such as sexy doll, princess coming out of the shower and real life Barbie etc., causing the crowd to scream their approval.

At her concert, Coco wore a top saying “Marry Me” to sing, elevating the atmosphere of the audience. Many fans immediately chanted “Force a wedding!”; apparently, her manager revealed, Coco’s fiance Bruce has proposed to her many times already. “The day to saying yes is fast approaching!” Right now after Coco’s claimed on-stage wedding rumour, her manager’s comment may turn out to be true.

News: Taiwanese Stars Head to India for World Vision

World Vision Taiwan spokespeople, actress and actors Sylvia Chang, Mike He, Joe Cheng headed on a plane to visit a Taiwan funded program for poor children in India. Sylvia Chang plans to raise money for a school for these children. Joe Cheng and Mike He will be preparing nutritious food for them so that they will grow up healthily.


Five years ago, Sylvia Chang was in India for an interview. A girl named Nitya told her that she was afraid of going out to school. So Sylvia helped pay for Nitya’s study, medical and basic expenses and warmly encouraged the girl to go to school. Nitya then had the chance to go to school and introduce herself to new friends.

With tears in her eyes, Sylvia said: “Even though Nitya passed away not long ago, she had the chance to experience love and being loved in her short life. This is a privilege all children should be entitled to!”
